HOW WE DO IT

At Pinnole, every piece begins as an idea and becomes a small work of art through a careful, hands-on process. We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to create jewellery that’s colourful, durable, and made to be loved.

1. HAND-DRAWN SKETCH

Every design starts with a hand-drawn sketch. This is where creativity flows freely — shapes, colours, and proportions are explored without limits.

It’s a playful, intuitive moment where imperfections are welcome, because they often become the most beautiful details.

2. CAD DESIGN

The sketch is then translated into a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) model.

This step allows us to refine proportions, test balance, and ensure that each piece is comfortable to wear and technically perfect, while staying true to the original artistic idea.

Once the CAD design is approved, a silver master mould is created.

This master becomes the foundation of the entire production process, capturing every curve, texture, and tiny detail of the design.

3. RUBBER MOULD CREATION & WAX INJECTION

Using the silver master, we produce a rubber mould.

This flexible mould allows us to replicate the design precisely and consistently, while protecting the original master piece.

Molten wax is then injected into the rubber mould to create exact wax replicas of the jewellery.

These wax models will later be used for silver casting, ensuring each piece keeps the original design’s integrity.

4. SILVER CASTING & HAND FINISHING

The wax models are cast in sterling silver using traditional casting techniques.

After casting, skilled artisans step in — removing excess material, refining edges, and carefully shaping every detail by hand. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

5. HAND POLISHING

Each piece is polished by hand to achieve a smooth, luminous finish.

This step enhances the silver’s natural shine and prepares the surface for the next stages of colour and protection.

6. PLATING

The jewellery is plated to increase durability and resistance over time.

This layer helps protect the silver while keeping the piece beautiful through everyday wear.

7. ENGRAVING

Before colour is applied, selected pieces are engraved with precision.

This step adds character and identity — whether it’s a logo detail, a symbol, or a meaningful mark — making each piece even more personal and intentional.

8. ENAMEL APPLICATION

This is where Pinnole’s world of colour truly comes alive. Enamel is carefully applied by hand, one colour at a time. This delicate process requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of colour to achieve vibrant, long-lasting results.

9. QUALITY CHECK

Every piece undergoes a thorough quality check. We inspect structure, finish, colour, engraving, and functionality to ensure it meets our standards — and yours.

10. PACKING

Finally, your jewellery is carefully packed and prepared for its journey to you. From the studio to your hands, every step is handled with care, intention, and love.
